On other projects, they have a much larger proportion of users. I think a difference between our open source project and some others is that we have always had a much larger proportion of contributors. Looking back, it’s really unbelievable to see that kind of dedication and how far we’ve come. But above all, it’s the collective effort of the community, pushing the project forward. Bradley Hilton built our data import framework Aaron Ogle handled bots integration with Chat-Ops and helped to build out our all-important community, and many others made major contributions that are simply indispensable, looking back. We had a contributor, Reid Wakida, who (while working as a contractor to the Department of Defense) built the foundation of our roles and permission layer. Pierre Ozoux, from IndieHosters, was instrumental to getting our official Docker image published alongside famous projects such as WordPress and Apache Web Server. Once we launched, contributing developers (as well as plenty of people) wanted to help promote what we were up to. I had the initial vision for the project and wanted it to exist, but as soon as we launched it on GitHub, it became a global community project, and took on a life of its own.įrom the very start, we had internal contributors working three to four hours a day. The contributors community formed almost magically within a very short time. /RocketChat/Rocket.One unique thing about Rocket.Chat is that there is no single champion.* ONE-CLICK-DEPLOYMENT – See instructions on our GitHub repository: * Native Cross-Platform Desktop Application * Hubot Friendly - Hubot Integration Project ![]() * I18n - Internationalization with Lingohub ![]() ![]() * Sort conversations alphabetically or group by activity, unread or favourites * Choose between 3 themes: Light, Dark, Black When you choose Rocket.Chat, you join a passionate community who help to grow the platform with us!
